Validation of a Screening Tool to Identify the Nutritionally at Risk Pregnancy
When a mother registers, the MDD notes a set of data from which her risk profile is established. Through this process, priority of
service is given to pregnant women who are the most at risk, nutrition wise. The validation study of this screening tool was conducted
in collaboration with CLSCs in the Montreal area. The tool shows very satisfying reliability at identifying pregnant women most likely to
benefit from a dietitian's intensive intervention. The article on this study is published in the Journal of the Society of Obstetricians
and Gynaecologists of Canada. Click here to read it.
