Our Clients

The mothers who seek support from MDD are often vulnerable. Our clients, referred mainly by word of mouth, are at times without a partner and most come from other parts of the world. These women have underlying pregnancy risk factors, above and beyond their lack of money. A lower socio-economic status increases risks that babies will more likely be born underweight and will most likely be bottle-fed. The MDD's approach works against this tendency with very favourable results: 95% of our babies are born at a healthy weight and more than 95% of our mothers breastfeed.
