Group Activities

This program offers mothers a range of group activities conceived for them and conducted in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. In addition to providing information about pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, and baby care, these activities enhance maternal-infant bonding and permit mothers to acquire parental skills, break their isolation, and develop confidence in themselves. Active participation also promotes social integration due to the personal attention that takes into account each mother's unique situation.

Each year, more than 300 activities bring an average of ten participants together. Approximately 40 themes are discussed in workshops or special events such as community dinners, parties and picnics. All of these activities allow mothers to discover themselves and others.

Healthy Cooking

Three to six months after birth, the project "Healthy eating with a small budget" invites mothers to a set of four workshops to help them achieve healthy cooking. How and when to introduce complementary foods ? How to prepare homemade purees ? How to make better choices at the grocery store ? How to modify a recipe to make it healthier ? These are the kinds of questions to which mothers are provided with concrete and practical answers through workshop participation. These activities are available in part thanks to the financial support of the City of Montreal.

To cook together is to share a special moment!
