Medias

On November 25, 2007, designer Mariouche Gagné from Harricana appeared on Radio-Canada’s TV show “Tout le monde en parle”. The November 28th fashion show was also covered in the following medias : Métro’s November 23 issue as well in La Presse on December 13.

The April 4, 2007 press conference in which were announced the results of the “Étude sur le coût du panier à provisions nutritif dans divers quartiers de Montréal” was followed by an important media cover.

In 2006, dietitian Emmy Maten was awarded the Andrée Beaulieu Award by the Ordre professionnel des diététistes du Québec. She received this award for excellence in a written communication for the article “Initiating and Maintaining Breastfeeding” published in the 2005 fall publication of the Order‘s professional journal.

On November 18, 2006 was launched, at the Montreal Salon du livre, the book “Le sens de la vie?”, Éditions Fides. Author, photograph Isabelle Clément, generously shares part of the profit from the book sales to the MDD.

In 2006, the Lawson Foundation honoured twelve Canadian organizations with achievement awards for exemplifying excellence and leadership through their contribution to community and society. These awards brought a close to the celebrations for The Lawson Foundation’s 50 years of philanthropy. The MDD was a proud recipient of one of the Lawson Foundation Achievement Award.

On December 11, 2005 was held the twenty-sixth CBC radio Christmas Sing-In in St Andrew and St Paul church. Donations from the participants were given for MDD mothers. The concert was on CBC radio twice on Christmas 2005.

On December 10, 2005, Carole Vallières wrote a column entitled “Bébés pauvres en santé” in which she presented the MDD services.

In the October 2004 issue of the Capital santé magazine, Julie Stanton signed the following two articles: “Le Dispensaire diététique de Montréal – Au service des futures mères” and “Pascale Bussières – Une porte-parole passionnée”.
