Prix Excellence en carrière of the OPDQ (2009)
Last November, the Ordre professionnel des diététistes du Québec gave the “Prix Excellence en carrière Suzanne-Simard-Mavrikakis de Provigo, membre du groupe Loblaw” to Marie-Paule Duquette to honour her dedication as well as the ensemble of her professional activitie as the Executive Director of the Dispensary. A recognition of her accomplishments will be rendered in the 2010 winter issue of the journal of the Ordre.
Congratulations Marie-Paule!

Governor General's Caring Canadian Award (2003)
The recipients of this outstanding award have been:

Mrs. Elaine Glenn who, for many years, once or twice per week, rain or shine, drove dietitians to clients' homes for consultations. Always concerned about our families and their needs, she donated toys for the children every Christmas. Mrs. Glenn also participated in a woman's group that organized various fundraisers for the MDD. In addition, Mrs. Glenn was a member of the Board of Directors from 1976 to 1992 where her presence (she donated approximately 20 hours per week during that period) and her competence as treasurer were greatly appreciated.

Mrs. Agnes Ackerman participated in one of our auxiliary groups that prepared maternity tops for our clients while endeavoring to never make two of the tops the same. Mrs. Acherman was involved in fundraising efforts for the MDD and also recruited her husband to help: Mr. Ackerman would collect furniture donated to the Dispensary, refurbish the articles and transport them to our clients. The couple also made many baby blankets for MDD babies.
