The Volunteers

Each year, thousands of volunteer hours are devoted to the service of the mothers.

You would like to volunteer for the MDD ? Contact us!

Here are a few examples of volunteer work.

• Committee member (fund-raising campaigns and activities, etc.).
• Professional services, as needed (architects, engineers, etc.).
• Day-to-day operations:
  • assisting in day-care;
  • clerical work (data entry, photocopies, etc.);
  • counting vitamins;
  • grinding flax seed;
  • preparing income tax files;
  • gathering emergency food;
  • sorting of emergency food;
  • sorting maternity and baby clothing;
  • picking up and/or delivering furniture and other items
• Extra muros: knitting, sewing, baby clothes.
• Christmas: preparing and delivering food baskets, collecting various items such as food, toys, clothing, etc.;
• Mother's Day : gathering gifts for the mothers.

The mothers also get involved !

Frequently, mothers that received support and strength from the MDD return energized and lend a helping hand.
